All parents want to place their children in the best possible schools. However, what's it going to cost them…in rent?
A breakdown of the rental prices in some of Mississauga's top school zones is presented below. These areas were chosen as a representative sample of not only the top school zones, but what's available in terms of Mississauga real estate. I have purposely left out the Square One/City Centre area for this analysis. While the area has the most rental availabilities in Mississauga, the schools in those zones have not scored well in rankings. Overall lifestyle in this area is often more ideal for renters, but if your #1 priority is your child's school, then the City Centre often fails that criteria.

Central Erin Mills is home to both the top Public and Catholic high schools in Mississauga. Not only that, but its Middle and Elementary schools score and rank very well. With a good amount of rentals available at reasonable Mississauga prices, Central Erin Mills is an ideal destination for renters.

Clarkson boasts many of the top schools across the board, but finding rentals in this neighbourhood is very difficult. The majority of homes here are highly priced detached homes, or much older bungalows. The combination of often difficult to access public transportation and the lack of rentals available makes finding a home here that much more difficult. However, if you're willing to pay a bit more than other areas in Mississauga, there are a couple of trendy condos available.

Mineola is home to Kenollie P.S., the #1 ranked elementary school in Mississauga. We gets LOTS of calls about homes in this neighbourhood. The problem is that Kenollie's boundaries are extremely small, and there are often no listings at all in this area. If there are any, they are normally very old bungalows. Timing is everything if you want to be able to rent and get into the Kenollie area.

By far the most active rental market in Mississauga outside of the Square One condos. Churchill Meadows is one of the newest neighbourhoods in Mississauga. That attracted a lot of investors who bought the plethora of condo townhomes in Churchill Meadows. You can get a 1-bedroom for very cheap, but considering most visitors to iMississauga Real Estate are interested in finding a home in a great school zone, you'll be looking at at least the 2-bedrooms, if not more space.

Streetsville is a great area to live, but a tough one to find rentals in. There definitely are some available, so it takes a bit of work, but once you're in you'll absolutely love the town, people, and schools.
