We absolutely love Toronto. We think it's one of the best cities to live in, in the world. We also have some of the best schools in the city. One thing for sure is that I am extremely passionate about education. I know there are a lot of parents who think just like me and so I will be taking a look at the best schools in Toronto, and ranking them.
A couple of great resources when determining the quality of schooling are the Fraser Institute, and the EQAO results. Using these two factors, I have compiled a list of the "Top 10" schools in Toronto (Elementary & Secondary).

Thanks for a great chart. Would love to see a comparison between Public and Private Schools – some schools charge as much as $30k/year for tuition, but do they really have better students, or just better facilities.
Gratus, thanks for the comment! That’s a very good question. I’ll see if I can do some research regarding private schools but my opinion on the matter is that some of these public schools are extremely good. Save that monthly expense for private schools and put it toward your mortgage. Just my 2 cent!!
Hi Amit
This an excellent article, thanks.
Just wanted to know if you had an updated similar comparison, for 2011?
Hi Zia,
Thank you so much for the kind words! The update is coming – I have been told toward the end of March for the Elementary School stat’s, and toward the end of April for the Secondary school stat’s. Stay Tuned!
