This is the eighteenth segment of a 19-part blog-series that showcases Mississauga's unique commmunities. We realized that a lot of our clients were coming from outside Mississauga, and while knowing the top schools is important, they have asked for more information about the individual communities these schools reside in and the real estate available. This is an important criteria not lost on us as finding a neighbourhood that fits your lifestyle is extremely important. We've already ranked the communities based on school zones (which you can find here), so now let's take a little bit of time to get to know our communities. Next up: Streetsville!

Final Thoughts on Streetsville
There might be a bit of bias for Streetsville as the team at iMississauga either grew up or currently live in Streetsville, but we really have nothing but great things to say about the "Village in the City". The Queen Street strip won't ever be confused for Toronto, or even Port Credit, but it has its endearing qualities and enough options to keep the once-a-week diner satisfied. There are many festivals and events throughout the year located either right on the Queen Street strip or behind it at Vic Johnson Park. There are lots of charming options for homes in Streetsville. 1 1/2 and 2 storeys, backsplits, sidesplits, bungalows and raised bungalows make Streetsville far from a cookie-cutter development. For those who want to add their flair, take on an older home (heck – knock it down and build a custom one like many others have done!) and upgrade it or walk into one fully upgraded. The homes are all reasonably priced for a great neighbourhood.
In terms of the school zone, the jewel of Streetsville is definitely Vista Heights P.S. It's been around for a long time, like Streetsville, and continues to perform extremely well. Streetsville is small, but practically anywhere you live in this boundary (except north of Queen St. at Britannia) gets you into this top-ranked school. If you want to send your child to French Immersion, Vista Heights offers the program and that increases your overall school boundary zone as far as East Credit.
