This is the fifth segment of a 19-part blog-series that showcases Mississauga's unique commmunities. We realized that a lot of our clients were coming from outside Mississauga, and while knowing the top schools is important, they have asked for more information about the individual communities these schools reside in and the real estate available. This is an important criteria not lost on us as finding a neighbourhood that fits your lifestyle is extremely important. We've already ranked the communities based on school zones (which you can find here), so now let's take a little bit of time to get to know our communities. Next up: Cooksville!

Final Thoughts on Cooksville
Cooksville is one of the most affordable neighbourhoods for new immigrants and young families looking to own their first home in Mississauga. Cooksville is very distinct and the real estate is split up between the plethora of condos in the Dundas/Hurontario area near the City Centre and the more traditional ~30 year homes that you see a lot of just north of the City Centre in Hurontario and to the East in Applewood. Half of the homes in this area, thanks to the condo apartments, are rented. You'll find a lot of homes in these areas have been well-maintained and updated by their long-term owners, so while the homes may not have the panache of newer, more expensive homes, you'll find good quality and taste in many pockets of Cooksville.
In terms of the school zone, Cooksville has its share of solid-performing and poor-performing schools. Looking at school boundaries is very critical in this area because the difference in one street could land your childary school in #60 Munden Park versus #19 Corsair elementary school.
